Well, it’s that time of year again. You know the time when we look up the Freeform, Chill or SyFy (whatever you are into) month-long movie marathon that magically appears in October. Here, is when we get in our yearly quota of watching the classics like The Nightmare Before Christmas (my personal favorite), Edward Scissorhands and Hocus Pocus. If you are indeed looking for the bewitching schedule and the best part of The Nightmare Before Christmas — do not fret, for this geeky mama has got your covered. You’re welcome.
In addition to looking for this, I had also found another interesting 31 days of spooktakular fun, while I was perusing my Twitter feed, recently.
Hmm, what is #Inktober? I then clicked on the hashtag and found a whole alternate reality of inked illustrations and fun imaginative prompt lists. My eyes widened and my hands started to itch with excitement! What a perfect way to practice my inking game, I thought.
I will be going with the appropriately named Inktober prompt list. I will also post my inking I complete for each day, on my social media, so keep your peepers open and let me know what you think?
To warm up for next month I did a quick ink of a character I love from the Halloween favorite I mentioned, in the beginning. Sally has that beautiful flowing hair in the beginning scene of The Nightmare Before Christmas, so I wanted to capture it with this drawing. I used an India Ink to bring out the flowing vibe as well as those artistic brush strokes.
Here’s to 31 more!
